I had way too much fun with my daughter & granddaughter who were here visiting from Connecticut. Then we all went up to Michigan for my father-in-law's 80th birthday... what a whirlwind! Then we came home and had a very quiet Thanksgiving, which was quite welcome by that time. I needed some rest!

My granddaughter and me...

We recently met my daughter, her husband, and our granddaughter (not yet 2) in Orlando and had the most wonderful week at Disney World, including the water parks! I want to do it all over again!

I'm in between busy times right now, so how can I still be so busy? My daughter and granddaughter will be arriving on November 1st and they're staying for a week and a half. I hope the carpet installers get the new carpet in before they get here! The day after they leave, we're flying up to Michigan for a few days for my father-in-law's 80th birthday. Then it'll be Thanksgiving... then Christmas... then 2010... where does the time go!?!?!

I can't believe it was 35 years ago that we got married! There were many times we didn't think we'd last this long but here we are... and finally both kids are even out of the house... for the first time in 30 years we're back to "the two of us." We have a nice home and two kids who've never done drugs, smoked, gotten arrested, etc, and we have a granddaughter... so much to be thankful for!

We had only one month to be engaged, plan the wedding, and move from Michigan to Missouri, so we did it all quick and easy. The girl/woman in blue (Maid of Honor) is still my best friend after almost 40 years. The guy standing next to hubby is his brother as Best Man. The two ushers are other family members:
